Your hosts...
The husband and wife team of David and Ginni Robie are the owners and hosts (through Star Barn, LLC) of the Star Barn Guest House, Star Barn B&B, Star Barn Yoga Studio and Star Barn Uniques (offering locally made crafts at the B&B). The Robies moved to Maine early in 2003 and immediately renovated the 150 year old farmhouse on the premises (their current home and the "Guest House"). With that success, they have now built a five bedroom B&B next to their home. Browse this web site (especially Exciting Plans) to read about all the details.
In his "day job", David runs NorthStar EMS, the ambulance service for the 2,800 square miles of northwestern Maine. David's background in operations, business development, finance and his handyman skills honed through two housing renovations all help in making sure that your visit to Star Barn is First Class. Ginni is a certified Yoga instructor teaching classes around the area and coordinating all the Star Barn marketing, decor and amenities. Ginni's office management and instructional background lend strong people-skills to the enterprise.
David and Ginni have visited many B&Bs throughout the country, talking and sharing with their hosts in order to bring the best ideas back to Star Barn. Their aim is to simply treat guests as they themselves want to be treated.
